We welcome you to spoken Tamil classes offered at Louisville, KY!
We are very excited to know that you are taking the first step in learning to speak one of the oldest languages. Experienced volunteer teachers will guide you through this very rewarding journey, with help of latest technology and tools, along with personal touch!

We will group all registered participants based on their exposure to Tamil language.Those who never been exposed, will have conversation classes. For those who are familiar with Tamil alphabets and small words, will have option to take additional reading lessons along with conversation.
- Participants will utilize audio / video tools and practice at home.
- The course consists of 30 classes in 2 semesters.
- Semester 1: 15 classes – August thru November (3 to 4 classes per month on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM)
- Semester 2: 15 classes - January thru May (3 to 4 classes per month on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM)
Classes will last 1 hour.
This course will have a companion book “Tamil Language in Context: A Comprehensive Approach to Learning Tamil” written by Dr. Vasu Renganathan, University of Pennsylvania.
